ASUS Z97V (Aristo Prestige V201) and NVIDIA 9650M GT problems

A quick note on this graphics card. If you want to use this card on Linux, you may use Nouveau or turn off binary driver's PowerMizer (both ways effectively mean no power saving features on this GPU). To do the latter, create a file in /etc/modprobe.d/ with following line:

options nvidia NVreg_RegistryDwords="PerfLevelSrc=0x2222"

This GPU's issue has a proper fix for other laptop models from ASUS that use the same card, but I am unable to locate the VBIOS for this GPU for Z97V. There was one posted on some forums at some moment, but the link is long expired.
